Ms. Patterson’s practice includes the representation of public school districts in special education and disability law litigation as well as public and private sector employers in employment and civil rights matters. Before attending law school, Ms. Patterson was a teacher and diagnostician at Humble ISD. Ms. Patterson’s experience as an educator gives her unique insights into the day to day delivery of both regular and special education that she brings to bear on her special education and school consulting practice. In law school, Ms. Patterson served as President of the Student Bar Association and as a Research Assistant and Tutor for Academic Advancement. Ms. Patterson also received the Cali Award in her Lawyering Process class and was recognized as a Shell Hero of Houston for her efforts in organizing assistance for a local charter school after Hurricane Harvey.
